Solomon Telekom selects Extel
Communications for Broadband Delivery

Extel Communications supplier of
innovative access solutions to telecommunications companies today announced
that Solomon Telekom, the nation’s largest service provider, has selected the
Extel expandslTM
system to deliver IP high-speed data over DSL to residential and business
subscribers in Honiara and provincial locations.
Solomon Telekom will have the
capability to deliver significant IP-based high-speed data services using
Extel’s expandsl C8as DSLAMs connected via Fast Ethernet connections.
The C8as systems will be installed in the existing remote COs and in smaller
roadside cabinets.
